‘Black & White’ and other proud Geordies on BBC 6 Music

Lastnight I was again featured on the BBC 6 Music Introducing show with Tom Robinson.

Again my ‘Black and White’ track which featured Dom P was played .

Unlike last week, this was NOT an North East Speical. However, bands like Vinyl Jacket, Mammal Club, Grandfather Birds, Athletes In Paris, Static Line Parachute and The Railway Club who are all from the North east STILL got played.

Thats a fantasic look for the region

To hear myself and the rest of the great local acts, go to bbc.co.uk/6music (available until saturday 17th September)

Performing at the Mela Festival this weekend

This Sunday (11th September) in Exhibition park, I will be performing a few songs at the Mela festival (official website)

I will be on stage around 1:30pm

It’s FREE for all the family, so get yourselves down.

ps. Look out for the Castle on the Map Team, they may have some free cds fo you  if youre lucky

North East Special (BBC6)

Late last night on BBC6 there was a Special show looking at new music in the North East. Hosted by Tom Robinson with special guest Bob Allen (from Generator NE). They played a selection of the freshest local talent from the region

Along with songs from other fantastic bands in the area, they played myself and Dom P’s track ‘Black and White’ which is of course off the ‘Supa Social Club‘ mixtape.

To hear the full show, listen to it here – bbc.co.uk/6music  (available until Sunday 11th Sept)

Dom and I are about 25 minutes in, but I STRONGLY  advise you listen to it all. There is a lot of  extremely good music coming out of the North East at the minute and you should the take the time to enjoy it.

Also, if you didnt know,  the track which was played has a video. To watch it, go here.

I would also like to thank the lads at the Bottomless Crates show on NE1fm. They have been playing all of my songs LONG before the BBC has and are a great support to the rising local hip hop scene. Keep Representing.

BBC6 Music with Tom Robinson

Last night my track ‘Its Over Now’ which was played on 1xtra last week by Dj Target, has now been played on the Tim Robinson show on BBC6.

To hear it, along with some other excellent up and coming bands from around the UK, go to the BBC6 site Here

(Its about  1hr13 in, but you should listen to it all, and its available until Sunday 4th August.)
